Southwest Advanced Prototyping Hub (SWAP)

About The SWAP Hub

“The Southwest Advanced Prototyping (SWAP) Hub is a Microelectronics Commons regional innovation hub led by Arizona State University, connecting more than 200 partners across industry, academia and government to accelerate advanced microelectronics technologies from research to real-world application.

The SWAP Hub provides access to prototyping, advanced packaging, and technical expertise to rapidly develop, mature and transition prototypes into the hands of warfighters. By connecting innovators with the capabilities, partners and pathways needed to move technologies from lab to fab, the SWAP Hub is accelerating transition while building sustainable pathways to domestic manufacturing and commercialization.

Through collaboration, workforce development and access to advanced infrastructure, the SWAP Hub is strengthening U.S. microelectronics capabilities and helping ensure critical technologies can be developed, transitioned and sustained to meet national and economic security needs.”
