About California DREAMS and Northwest AI Superhub

The California DREAMS and Northwest AI Superhub, led by the University of Southern California in partnership with Stanford University, accelerates the development, prototyping and transition of U.S. microelectronics technologies. The Superhub unites the Defense Ready Electronics and Microdevices Superhub (CA DREAMS) with the California Pacific Northwest AI Hardware Hub (Northwest AI Hub). It combines CA DREAMS’ strengths in RF, compound semiconductors, 5G/6G and electronic warfare with the Northwest AI Hub’s leadership in AI hardware, advanced nanofabrication and CMOS+X integration. MOSIS 2.0 builds on four decades of innovation at USC’s Information Sciences Institute to provide streamlined access to semiconductor design, fabrication, and prototyping, while the CMOS+X Route provides a pathway for integrating emerging technologies with established CMOS platforms. Through a network of university facilities, commercial and defense fabs, industry partners and expertise, the Superhub expands access to world-class domestic capabilities, advancing technologies from concept to deployment and strengthening the microelectronics ecosystem.
